Helmi oversees Kreston Helmi Talib as a whole and provides professional steer and guidance to all the Firm's entities. Having begun his career at a Big 4 accounting Firm, Helmi obtained audit experience in a range of entity sizes - from local traders to large subsidiaries of multinational corporations and listed companies; and specialises in leading audits in the engineering and construction sectors. Through his leadership, Kreston Helmi Talib is continuously expanding its geographical reach and expertise, making it one of the top accounting firms in Singapore.

With high regard for the importance of lifelong learning, Helmi has contributed his professional expertise to research work and been a spokesperson at lectures on numerous accounting disciplines both in and outside Singapore (most prominently for ACCA examination courses and the Maastricht School of Management Outreach MBA Programme).

Helmi has been elected as a Council member of the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants (ISCA) and its committees, where he participated in various Focused Group discussions (FDGs) for the development of Small and Medium-sized Accounting Practices (SMPs) in Singapore.
