Our Pursuit for Cyber Security
We are dedicated to delivering the best quality of service whilst making sure that our clients’ information is safe alongside our operational assets. In today’s cyber risky world, we consulted a team of experts to assess our cybersecurity measures in place and assist us in implementing robust initiatives to continue safeguarding the information we process against attacks.
We engaged with Guardian Independent Certification Pte. Ltd., an accredited service provider of Cyber Security Agency of Singapore to carry out the audits. We passed all the necessary checks and have secured the Cybersecurity Essentials Mark for our Audit, Accounts, and Tax entities, certifying our thorough cyber hygiene in place as we carry out the provision of our services.
Important Updates: Registry and Regulatory Enhancement Bill
A new bill was passed to the Singapore Parliament last 2 July 2024.
The amendments to Accounting Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA)Registry and Regulatory Enhancements Bill aims to:
1. Corporate Transparency and Data Protection
The new legislation strikes a balance between ensuring corporate transparency and protecting sensitive data. This means your business operations can continue to be transparent to stakeholders while safeguarding your valuable information.
2. Digital Communications with Stakeholders
To streamline communications, statutory messages and notices, excluding summons, can now be sent and accessed via a secure digital mailbox through your Bizfile account. Whenever correspondences are sent, you will receive a notification in your registered email address for a more efficient access.
3. Improved Filing Convenience and Data Accuracy
The Registrar is now empowered to use information from designated public agencies to keep ACRA’s registers up to date. This change ensures that your filings are more convenient and accurate, reducing administrative burdens and enhancing data reliability.
4. Accuracy of Directors’ Registers
The accuracy of the registers of directors will be significantly improved. The Registrar now has the authority to reflect the disqualification status of individuals for all types of disqualifications under the Companies Act (CA). This update ensures that you have the most accurate and up-to-date information regarding your directors.
5. Streamlined Financial Reporting for Foreign Companies
For foreign companies registered under the CA, financial reporting requirements have been streamlined. This simplification reduces complexity and ensures that reporting obligations are more straightforward, aiding in compliance and administrative efficiency.
